Launching two years after the Ventura, the Azura is similar in size and layout to the largest cruise ship of the P&O fleet. There are also many features that are similar between the two P&O cruise ships. In fact, in many public areas, only the design and name of the venue has changed. Here are some of the highlights.
P&O Cruise Ships, Azura vs. Ventura
Launch Date – The Azura is set to debut on April 12, 2010 on her maiden voyage departing from Southampton. Both the Azura and the Ventura will be offering European cruises for 2010, including a number of Mediterranean cruises.
Size of Azura – The Azura will be similar in size and layout to the Ventura. She will be 116,000 tons and carry 3,080 passengers. At 290 metres in length, she will be as long as three football fields.
