The Great American Restaurant group consists of eight restaurants and a bakery in various towns across northern Virginia. As new residents of Centreville, Virginia, we were eager to check out some of the local cuisine, but unfamiliar with what was available, so we conducted an online search of the area's best restaurants.

Our research led to a review site with over a hundred reviews of the Sweetwater Tavern, nearly all of them positive and particularly favorable towards their signature offering, the "Drunken Ribeye". It seemed to be a logical choice, and after our visit (unfortunately) ended, it became clear why the restaurant has such a loyal fan base.
